Fall greetings from the Peace Corps office in Seattle.  I hope your academic year is off to a great start! As you may already know, the Peace Corps has thousands of overseas positions for skilled volunteers in environment, agriculture, education, healthcommunity & economic development,   and youth & community developmentall expenses paidto work in developing communities overseas for 27 months in 60+ countries.  Since 1961 more than 230 Evergreen alumni have served in the Peace Corps!

  • For Ag/Environment professionals you know with 10 + professional experience, they may want to consider shorter Peace Corps Response (3-12 month) positions:
  • Marine Sanctuary Specialist or  Watershed & Resource Management Specialist – Philippines
  • Water & Sanitation Specialist or Organic Agriculture Specialist– Panama
  • Aquaponics Advisor – Jamaica
  • Hazardous Waste Disposal Trainer – Palau
  • Renewable Energies Specialist – Wind Energy – Mexico
  • Soil Conservation Research Assistance – Guatemala
