Composting Classes

Do it yourself!
Composting returns nutrients to the soil and can reduce the amount of waste in your trash can. These free classes are taught by compost experts from Pierce County Public Works.

Classes are recommended for ages 6 to adult.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Food Waste
Watch red worms turn food scraps into compost.
Reserve a starter kit for $30.00
Kit must be purchased one week before class.

Cancellations
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop for any reason. You will be notified six days before your scheduled session. If you purchased a Food Waste Starter Kit you will be refunded in two to three weeks.

Refunds
The fee for the Food Waste Starter Kit is fully refundable if you cancel at least six business days before the class.
