GIS Analysis and Data Management Intern w/ DNR (Summer 16) – Olympia, WA

This position’s main purpose is to support the GIS technical manager in building efficiency and automation (via Python scripting) to Group and Section data management. The position is responsible for working with the GIS technical manager and the Scientific Consultation Group Manager to: 1) determine where opportunities for automation and/or efficiency improvements exist; 2) working with the GIS technical manager and/or the other GIS professionals in the Division to troubleshoot current issues and possible solutions; and 3) preparing and implementing data solutions for review.
