The Portland Water Bureau is advertising to create a list of qualified people interested in seasonal fisheries and botany positions in 2016. The fisheries work would focus on monitoring juvenile salmonid smolt traps in the spring, conducting fish and fish habitat surveys in the summer, and completing adult salmon counts in the fall, with other duties assigned as time allows. The botanical work would focus on invasive plant surveys, vegetation restoration efforts, GIS mapping, data entry and other assigned duties.
