The Bureau of Transportation is seeking to hire a Safe Routes to School Organizer within the bureau’s Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Program. SRTS is a community-based program that works to increase the number of school-aged children walking and biking to school. This position will work in schools throughout Portland with parents, students, school staff, and partner organizations to develop and implement encouragement activities, education programs, and events that promote safe, active transportation to school.

Experience working with schools and/or school-aged children (grades K-12) is highly desired. Experience organizing within diverse communities is preferred. The ability to speak bilingually is preferred.

Salary: $26.64 – $33.99 Hourly
