April 16th thru 22nd Yelm Cinemas will be hosting a week long documentary series we are calling “Earth Week”. Each day we will be showing a different environmental documentary to encourage change and inspires our customers to think differently about their surroundings.

Over the last year I have spent time building Yelm Cinema’s alternative content options which have included plays, musicals and documentaries to inspire the local youth and promote creative thinking. Along with providing more diverse content I also like to have functions after each showing. I have started working with various college professors and high school teachers on our Art and Architecture series offering them and their students the opportunity to discuss their knowledge of the subject matter. A few of the upcoming events are documentaries about Florence and Uffizi Gallery, Goya: Visions of Flesh And Blood and Leonardo Da Vinci: the Genius of Milan.

My goal with this email is too hopefully find experts on these various subjects who would be willing to come in and elaborate more on the Earth Week documentaries. I want to get my customers engaged and make the event more than just them seeing a movie.

I would be more than happy to offer free tickets, concessions or sign off on any work related credit for students that would apply.
