Biohabitats seeks a qualified individual to join our growing team of restoration ecologists, water resource engineers, scientists, and landscape architects to work collaboratively on cutting-edge water reuse, natural wastewater treatment, and ecological restoration projects. Primary responsibilities include coordination, design, research, permitting, and construction administration of integrated water strategies projects. Specific responsibilities include providing engineering or design analysis of water use, preparing design and construction documents (plans, specifications, and cost estimates), assisting with regulatory approval, assisting with construction administration services, and cultivating client relationships. The ideal candidate is highly organized, is capable of working flexibly on a variety of project tasks, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, and is passionate about water.

Position Requirements » Undergraduate or graduate degree (environmental, civil, mechanical, agricultural, water resource or related engineering or scientific fields) » 2–5 years experience with engineering and/or water resource projects, including stormwater, wastewater, water reuse, and/or other basic engineering services (some field experience preferred) Experience in some of the following areas is highly desirable: » Experience with completing design and construction documents― plans and specifications » Graphic design capabilities (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) » 3-D design capability (Sketch-Up, Revit, etc.) » CAD, GIS and/or Land Development software » HEC RAS, HyrdroCAD, StormCAD, and/or other environmental/hydrology software » Design coordination with CAD or production staff » Specific mechanical experience in sizing and specifying pumps, meters, piping systems, instrumentation, controls etc. » Construction administration and construction observation activities » Cost estimating Biohabitats offers great benefits and salary commensurate with experience and skill level.
