Dozens of Summer Jobs; Applications open mid-November

Wenatchee, WA — Do you want to work in the great outdoors in the summer of 2017? With more than 100 jobs available in positions ranging from archeology to trails to fire there are plenty of opportunities to care for the land and serve people across the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest (Forest). This year, all summer job applications must be submitted online at www.usajobs.gov between November 15-21, 2016.

“The most important steps are applying online at USAjobs.gov and following up afterwards,” said Forest Training Officer, Jason Heinz. “We want to hire passionate, dedicated folks that represent the communities we serve.”

From the Canadian border to the Goat Rocks Wilderness south of I-90, the Forest provides clean water, abundant wildlife habitat, sustainable forest products, incredible recreation, and much more.

“Each summer, hundreds of seasonal employees help maintain and enhance this dynamic place for current and future generations” added Heinz.

Applications will be accepted only through the USAjobs website, www.usajobs.gov. Potential applicants are encouraged to access the website early to allow time to create or update their user accounts. Job announcement number are available on the Forest website at www.fs.usda.gov/okawen
