ODFW recently announced an open GIS Technician position (ISS-3) located in Salem.  This position is with the Natural Resources Information Management Program and the Research, Evaluation, Data & Decision (REDD) support group in the Conservation and Recovery section.

The position will create elevation derived, spatial data representing streams to be used for spatial network modeling; synthesize existing fish passage barrier inventory data from numerous sources into the Oregon Fish Passage Barrier Data Standard (OFPBDS) compliant Framework dataset; incorporate field survey data, of both fish and habitat observations, from multiple agencies, as well as modeled distribution data into the Framework standard fish habitat distribution datasets; and compile and/or develop presumed historical fish habitat distribution data from various state and federal entities into the Oregon Fish Habitat Distribution Data Standard Framework (OFHDDS) dataset.
