Clark County Public Works has an opening in the Resource Enhancement and Permitting Section for an environmental mitigation specialist. This position will conduct biological field work necessary for the development of wetland and habitat assessments and will lead mitigation or restoration design efforts associated with Clark County park development, stormwater retrofit, habitat restoration, transportation, and maintenance projects.  The selected candidate will be an active participant on project teams and be responsible for the development of biological information in support of environmental documentation, permitting, and project delivery tasks such as preparing cost estimates, special provisions and contract plans that will ensure successful mitigation sites. The Environmental Mitigation Specialist will also conduct field surveys to support project environmental design, work with construction inspectors in the field during construction, perform development and/or review of environmental mitigation plans and other environmental discipline reports, and develop mitigation site monitoring strategies, assist with mitigation monitoring and reporting, and other duties related to the position.
