Nisqually River Education Project Internship
Are you passionate about bringing kids outside? Do you like educating the next generation of environmental stewards? If so, the Nisqually River Education Project’s paid environmental education internship may be a great fit for you!
The Details:
- This is a part-time (20 hr/week), minimum wage paidinternship with the Nisqually River Foundation’s Nisqually River Education Project. This is a short-term internship, with funding available from early April – late June.
- The successful applicant must have a passion for educationand be well versed in local environmental issues, including water quality, stormwater runoff, salmon biology, and/or climate change in the Pacific Northwest.
- The successful applicant will lead pre-trip presentations and field experiences for youth in grades 3-12. The applicant will also help plan and implement the annual Summer Teacher Institute in late June. Other duties may be assigned.
- Applicants must have reliable transportationand be willing to drive up to 50 miles/day on a regular basis (mileage reimbursed). Applicants must be willing to work occasional weekend and evenings.
