Summer term internship applications now open! CEC Summer Internships run from June 19-September 8th.

Internships are available year-round with the Corvallis Environmental Center. They are an opportunity to learn more about the world of nonprofit and environmental work, and to get involved with our organization. These unique and applicable work experiences are unpaid but are eligible for up 3 credits. The CEC offers multiple internships throughout our programs and each works with several students every term.

Marketing and Communications Intern

Database Management Intern

The Database Management intern plays a crucial role in maintaining an organized and consistent database. Using Salesforce, the intern will input information about everyone within the CEC community: volunteers, donors, vendors and customers. The intern will learn to generate reports, input data, and organize a complex and widely used database. This is a great opportunity to learn about non-profit management and donor development. Farm to School Intern

The Corvallis Farm to School program makes connections between our food system and our school system. Our program increases the use of local foods in our schools, encourages children to make healthy eating choices and supports regional farmers. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in food, nutrition, and agricultural education, get to work with community volunteers, and assist with promoting local foods for our school district. Avery House Intern

As an intern with Avery House Nature Center (AHNC) you will be an integral part of creating and implementing place-based environmental education for all ages. We work in schools, local natural spaces, at our Nature Center in Avery Park and throughout the Corvallis community. Sustainable Agriculture Intern

The Sustainable Agriculture intern plays a crucial role in the success of the SAGE Garden. This is a great opportunity for those seeking hands-on experience in small-scale agriculture, local hunger relief, educational gardening, sustainability, permaculture, and connecting people with the food that they eat.  As a part of the SAGE team, you will help to grow the 3 tons of food that we donate each year to aid food insecure individuals and families in the local community.  We value the input and ideas of SAGE interns in shaping the garden and enhancing its educational function. Apply here. Community Food System Intern

Learn more about the local food system and helping to increase community access to fresh local produce by serving as a Community Food intern with the CEC’s Edible Corvallis Initiative (ECI).
