The Department of Fish and Wildlife is recruiting one (1) part time, on-call, Natural Resource Technician 2 located in the Wildlife Program, Region 3. This position reports to the Wildlife Conflict Specialist, but works interdependently with other Wildlife Program professionals and Enforcement staff to assist in addressing issues.
Under general direction, this position assists the Wildlife Conflict Specialist in Kittitas and Yakima Counties in responding to, addressing and resolving wildlife conflicts reported by private landowners. Specifically, this position will primarily focus on elk-related agricultural conflicts with a focus on implementing fencing and other non-lethal approaches to mitigate elk damage while assisting the Wildlife Conflict Specialist in the administration of permits which result in the lethal removal of elk. |

Qualifications: |
Graduation from high school or GED, including 1 year of high school science and 1 year of experience as a Natural Resource Technician or Scientific Technician 1 or 2. Competencies Well qualified applicants will demonstrate competencies in the following areas:
