College Advancement is pleased to announce the launch of a new business internship program made possible with the generous support of Lynda Weinman and Bruce Heavin. In this program, upper division students who wish to gain real-world work experience in media and technology will have the opportunity to apply their learning in situations where they are accountable for outcomes and take responsibility for working with clients. If you are eager to build on the learning you’ve done in programs, through independent learning contracts or in other areas of the College, such as the CCAM or KAOS, you should apply to join the next cohort of interns in this prestigious program. As an intern, you will be expected to make use of lynda.com to develop your skills during your internships and you will also be paired with an alumni mentor in your field of interest.
The Opportunity:
Put your technical skills to work with hands-on database and CRM projects that will build your skills and your resume. College Advancement is in the process of implementing a Customer Relationship Management system that will be a comprehensive database for managing alumni and donor relationships including communications, giving and more. As the Database and CRM Fellow, you will assist staff in this process by completing research and projects such as needs assessment, software assessment, project planning, and implementation. You will be an active part of data conversion, data mapping, and documenting business processes. In addition to working on a wide range of projects that will directly benefit the college and build your portfolio, you’ll also have a chance to work with a small cohort of other students involved in this internship program and have access to alumni mentors, experienced professionals in the field, to develop your skills and extend your professional network.
