Dr. Margaret Zimmer is recruiting 1-2 hydrology Ph.D. students to start summer/fall 2018 in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Current lab research integrates field work and computational analyses to address questions regarding watershed hydrology, stream-groundwater interactions, and solute fate and transport in a variety of landscapes, with particular focus in California. Scales of inquiry span spatially from stream reach to regional watershed and temporally from event to multi-year. Students are encouraged to contact Dr. Margaret Zimmer to discuss specific research projects.

The Zimmer lab is motivated to maintain a productive, diverse, and inclusive lab environment and encourage students from under-represented groups to consider this program. The UC Santa Cruz Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences is regularly ranked in the top ~15 Earth Sciences departments in the country.
