We are seeking a professional to join our data analysis team as a Performance Analyst. The position will be stationed at our Seattle office, in beautiful and historic Pioneer Square.

This position will perform the following work:- Lead WSDOT’s construction impact analysis program that reduces the risk of traffic disruption and project schedule delays via early identification and resolution of construction schedule and traffic conflicts.
- Manage development of systems and processes to streamline and improve construction traffic planning and mitigation, and foster new ideas and methods of capturing and sharing data in order to minimize and mitigate traffic impacts.
- Create construction “hot spot” maps.
- Lead the technical components of the Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) Program, including training CTR jurisdiction representatives on creating and implementing CTR surveys; troubleshooting CTR surveying; and overseeing the initial creation of CTR data from the surveys, including cleaning data, quality assessment, and troubleshooting data control issues.
- Oversee various technical CTR components, including the web-based survey tool and WSDOT’s CTR application website, with an eye towards improvement of collection methods and data validation.
- Serve as a liaison to various local, county, regional, and state CTR stakeholders, answering questions and disseminating information.
- Develop methodologies for analyzing CTR data and utilizing the results to inform policy and implementation of the statewide CTR program.
- Guide data documentation efforts across a wide range of projects to help steer decision-making.
An ideal candidate for this position will have:- Bachelor’s degree involving a major study in transportation, landscape architecture, environmental, urban, or land use planning, engineering, public or business administration, economics, biology, natural or physical sciences, or public policy or administration.
AND
- Three years professional experience involving data collection, analysis, and/or evaluation of issues and problems (A Master’s degree in one of the above fields will substitute for two years of required experience).
OR
- One year as a Transportation Planning Specialist 2, Transportation Engineer 2, Landscape Designer 2, or equivalent classification in city or county agencies.
OR
- Equivalent education and experience.
Note: This position is covered by a union shop provision. Therefore, as a condition of employment, you are required to become a member of the PTE, Local 17, or arrange to pay that union a representational fee. The union shop requirement shall be effective on the first day of the month following the employee’s initial 30 days in this classification.
