Donor Relations Coordinator Job Posting

WTA is a nonprofit leader in community engagement–from its interactive website that serves 3 million unique annual visitors, to its growing base of over 15,000 member households, to its volunteer trail program, which is the largest of its kind in the nation. Contributions from individuals account for approximately $2.5 million in annual revenue.
WTA seeks proactive, solutions-oriented candidates who have a flexible, self-motivated work style. The ideal candidate will be a well-organized individual with demonstrated administrative and event planning skills. Attention to detail is a critical piece of success in the position and in WTA’s fundraising program. The Coordinator will contribute to the overall success of WTA by welcoming requests for support, tracking and meeting approaching deadlines, and suggesting improvements to systems and processes. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that reports to the Annual Fund and Events Manager and works closely with the entire Development team and Executive Director.
Major Responsibilities
Donor Services and Stewardship: 30% Communicates with donors via email, phone and in person at stewardship events. Ensures donor data integrity by assisting with data entry and updating donor records in the Salesforce database. Manages gift acknowledgement and renewal process for WTA’s Fireside Circle and other major donors.
Event Planning and Management: 30% Assists in the planning and execution of fundraising and donor stewardship events, including Fireside Circle hikes and trail work parties (1 – 2 per year) and annual celebrations (2 – 4 per year).
Executive Director and Board of Directors Support: 30% Provides administrative support to WTA’s Executive Director and Board of Directors, including but not limited to: calendar and scheduling, correspondence management and facilitation of donor stewardship. Assists with Board meeting materials, logistics, and onsite support.
Additional Responsibilities: 10% Assists with seasonal fundraising campaigns as assigned, such as direct mail and email campaigns. Assists with other WTA events as needed (includes occasional nights and weekends). Attends and participates in WTA trainings, retreats and other program events as assigned. Other duties as assigned.
Job skills and experience preferred:
High ethical standards and ability to manage confidential donor information. Strong organizational and administrative support skills. Previous experience supporting senior leadership or Board of Directors a plus. Interest in cultivating positive experiences for members, donors and event participants through excellent customer service. Ability to engage and work with multiple stakeholders at all organizational levels, both internal and external to the organization. Cultural competency experience and demonstrated ability to work with people of diverse races, ages, genders, abilities and economic backgrounds Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and as a member of a dynamic team. At least one year of work experience, preferably in an office setting. Event management experience a plus. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with Salesforce a plus. Available to work occasional evenings and weekends for special events as needed. Commitment to WTA’s mission.
Compensation: Compensation starts at $18.50 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and long-term disability insurance; retirement plan; transit pass; and holiday, vacation and sick leave.
