Job Description:
We are seeking an entry-level project scientist to fill a full-time position in our Olympia Office. Responsibilities will include supporting hazardous waste site investigations and evaluations, performing analyses using geographical information systems (GIS), organizing, managing and evaluating large analytical databases, participating in human health risk assessment evaluations, and other tasks associated with environmental investigations and remediation projects.
Minimum requirements include:
- Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to work on and complete a wide variety of tasks independently
- A./B.S./M.S. in environmental science, geology, biology, chemistry, geography, engineering, or similar field
Ideal candidate would also have:
- Some investigation and remediation experience at CERCLA, RCRA, MTCA, or similar sites
- Advanced degree
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification
