Aspect Consulting, LLC, a specialty earth science and engineering consulting firm, is seeking a skilled GIS ANALYST to join our growing Data + Mapping Services team. Aspect supports diverse clients in environmental, water resources, stormwater, and geotechnical sciences—as well as GIS, data management, software development, and technology services. We need you to perform spatial data analysis, interpretation, GIS data management, and map making in support of our wide range of projects. Our team prides itself on being technologically nimble and creative in our problem-solving approach. Our ideal candidate will be fluent in the Esri ArcMap ecosystem; creating, editing, and managing data from historic maps, CAD drawings, and government agencies; and field data-collection methods. You’ll be expected to create high-quality print and web maps/graphics from a range of datasets, and work collaboratively with Aspect’s scientist and engineers.
This is a full-time position in our downtown Seattle office.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Esri ArcMap, extensions, and the extended Esri software/web ecosystem
- Strong fundamentals in geospatial data analysis
- Data management aptitude, including relational database management, data quality control, join/relate fundamentals, etc.
- Cartography, graphics, and map-making skills
- Thorough understanding of coordinate systems and map projections
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and confidence contributing in a collaborative work environment
- Time management and workload prioritization skills
- Strong customer service mentality and ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
- B.S. degree in GIS, Geography, Statistics, or Environmental Sciences with course content in GIS (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years professional experience in GIS

- Work experience at an environmental consulting firm
- Familiarity with environmental/remediation engineering, solid waste/landfills, geotechnical engineering, and/or water resource fields
- Experience georeferencing and digitizing
- LiDAR data processing and management
- ArcGIS Online
- Python coding or scripting chops
- Web-map development
- Open source GIS
- Enterprise geodata management
