Description
Thanks to the sponsorship of WA Dept. of Ecology and OR Dept. of Environmental Quality, Beyond Benign, a national recognized green chemistry education non-profit, is teaming up local teachers to offer a full day interactive workshop focused on sustainable science and green chemistry.
The workshop will feature topics including:
- Chemical hazard awareness
- Pollution prevention and waste reduction techniques
- Green chemistry replacement labs
- Lessons based on real-world sustainable innovations
Taught by Beyond Benign’s staff and Lead Teacher team of high school teachers you will receive hands-on experience and open-access resources designed for teachers and by teachers. Earn professional development credit hours for full participation in the workshop and completion of a follow-up assignment through our state education partners in WA and OR.
