JOB DESCRIPTION
Under direct supervision, uses the company’s GIS system (ArcMap, ArcFM, and Designer Express) to edit database per information from field personnel or uses Autodesk products to modify existing drawings to reflect “as-built conditions”. Updates and revises all associated and pertinent drawings, maps and documents.

Maintains quality control for a clean, fully-functional, accurate database that is utilized company-wide.
REQUIRED SKILLS

Knowledge of:

  • Current versions of: ArcGIS software. AutoCAD, and Windows
  • basic electricity concepts
  • file management
  • Prefer:
    • Arc editing experience.
    • Skills in:
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, problem solving, customer service. Highly accurate and detail-oriented, meet accepted deadlines
  • Ability to:
  • Accept responsibility, adapt readily to new situations, work in a team environment.Education:
  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED AND completion of a formal drafting technology program or AutoCAD OR completion of an Associate’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or Drafting Technology OR equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Prefer:
    • Degree in Geographic Information Systems(GIS) or related field.
    • Experience:
  • Two or more years of experience with GIS technology OR equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Prefer:
    • Five years’ experience using ArcGIS.
