As part of our continued success, Landau Associates is seeking an Environmental Technician.

This position will be based in our Edmonds, Washington office. Work locations will be primarily in the Puget Sound region, and may occasionally require work in eastern Washington and Portland, Oregon.

What will you be doing?

• Field geochemical sample collection, field measurement, and preparation of written documentation for conditions associated with stormwater, soil, and groundwater.
• Using a variety of field equipment to collect samples.
• Periodic work on or near industrial facilities. Work outside in all types of weather.

What are we looking for?

• The successful candidate will have earned an Associate of Science degree including coursework in chemistry, physics, mathematics/statistics, geology, and writing.
• Certifications and identification badging may include the 40 Hour Hazardous Waste Operations training and Federal Transportation Worker Identify Card, which we will provide.
• Demonstrate a careful attentive approach needed for implementation of field procedures and completion of required documentation.
• Ability to be flexible in the fast-paced/changing arena of environmental sampling.
• Excellent problem solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work on field teams or independently.
• Familiarity with Word and Excel. Ability to use GIS and GPS preferred.
• Military service welcome.
