Ocean Associates, Inc. (OAI) is seeking an Information Systems Project Manager to provide support to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), in Honolulu, Hawaii. NMFS observers in the Pacific Islands Region Observer Program (Program) collect a variety of data including catch, bycatch, fishing effort, and interactions with protected species. This information is used by NMFS to perform stock assessments, construct fishery management plans, regulations, and identify methods for reducing bycatch and protected species interactions. This position will manage the development of a deployable eReporting system that will facilitate the Program’s ability to collect and receive fisheries data in a timely, cost-effective, and sustainable approach. The project manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the eReporting project for both Hawaii and the American Samoa field office. This is an excellent opportunity for a person with a strong information systems project management background to contribute to NOAA’s effort to recover threatened and endangered species.
