Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc. (ECT), seeks a senior-level Land/Environmental Planner to support the power sector and Natural Resource Management & Permitting service line. This position will be responsible for the execution of ECT’s large-scale projects and management for our program clients.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Serve as a project manager for projects involving environmental, land use and permitting

Assist in the management and execution of renewable and other power related projects

Capable of understanding project needs and directing field and office staff and subcontractors

Develop proposals, budgets, project plans and execute plans independently

Knowledge of land use regulation including federal, state and local regulations in Michigan

Perform federal, state and local government interaction on a variety of industrial and energy sector projects

Perform business development activities for services, conduct client interface, develop and review of technical and land planning reports

Make presentations to local governments

 

Minimum Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Land-use Planning or similar degree required

7-10 years or experience

Michigan planning and power-related project experience preferred

Professional land-use planning for environmental impacts experience

Knowledge of Word, Excel, ARC GIS

Strong technical writing skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

4WD vehicle experience preferred

Frequent, out of town and overnight travel.

Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
