At the intersection of contemporary thinking in healthcare, education, design, planning, and conservation is a growing recognition that human well-being is interdependent with the natural world: in addition to food, medicine, and materials, our mental, physical, social, and spiritual health improves by spending time in natural places. Join us to learn about the latest innovations in research, policy, design, and practice; discuss common challenges; and identify shared opportunities to collectively and equitably expand the potential of nature to improve our health.

This year’s symposium will include an afternoon workshop to begin scoping the information and research needs of communities and professionals who are striving to implement the health benefits of nature directly in their work.

Please take a moment to forward this invitation to your friends and colleagues. Your recommendation is our best way to spread the word! Note that in addition to general admission we are offering discounted tickets and scholarships to ensure the symposium is accessible to all. We are also seeking UW student volunteers to help staff the event: contact c3uw@uw.edu.

See conservation.uw.edu/naturehealth for details, with more updates coming soon. We hope to see you there!
