Help Boston University achieve its commitment to carbon neutrality by 2040. sustainability@BU, Boston University’s award-winning sustainability office is building capacity to support the Climate Action Plan recently approved by the Board of Trustees. This is an unparalleled opportunity to build on existing community participation to advance sustainability to the next level at Boston University. You will report to the Sustainability Director, and collaborate closely with the Associate Vice President for University Sustainability and the sustainability team, Campus Planning and Operations, Dining Services, Division of Student Affairs, and many other departments across the University. This position will deliver a proactive data supported outreach program on campus to engage the faculty, staff, and student populations to support the University’s Climate Action Plan and sustainability initiatives. The successful candidate will be a creative engagement specialist with exceptional interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skills. This position requires a keen understanding and passion of higher education sustainability and the means to affect behavior change in a variety of populations.

Required SkillsThis candidate will have the ability to collaborate and function effectively as part of a dynamic team and across departments. This position requires three to five years of related experience. Qualifications: A strong understanding of sustainability issues in higher education. Exceptional interpersonal skills. Exceptional communications skills, especially written and verbal. A self-starter and collaborator who demonstrates strong problem solving and program management skills.
