Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for a Project Environmental Geologist/Engineer in our Phoenix, AZ office. The successful candidate should have 8 years of experience. Experience should include all phases of environmental site assessments (Phase I and II ESAs), comprehensive site characterization, and remediation planning and design. Additionally, experience performing or managing industrial hygiene services (asbestos, lead-containing paint, indoor air quality, mold), and regulatory compliance (storm water, permitting, environmental auditing) is a plus. Candidate should have local project experience providing these services on a wide variety of sites for clients including public agencies, local governments, utilities and private industry.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
Certification: Current OSHA HAZWOPER training, and Arizona Professional Engineer or Arizona Registered Geologist, a plus.
Required Skills: The successful candidate will manage projects and project budgets, manage clients and client relationships, oversee project staff, mentor junior staff, lead and guide proposal efforts, and assist with or lead report preparation and other project documents. Responsibilities will also include conduct of various office tasks comprised of data analysis, review and assimilation of historic information and environmental databases, and phone/email contact/coordination with subcontractors/vendors. Candidate must have solid writing skills, effective inter-communication skills, familiarity with ASTM E1527-13 and ASTM E-1903-11, and ability to work with and support teams as well as ability to work independently when required. Also, mush have proficiency with Word, Excel, and Adobe. Prior work history with a consulting firm preferred.
