PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT: February 4 – November 30, 2019 (potential for year-round employment)

COMPENSATION: $18.00/hour + paid time off, paid holidays, professional development stipend, and medical benefit cost share options

LOCATION: Office located in Lake Stevens with daily work throughout King and Snohomish counties

HOURS: Monday-Thursday, 7 AM – 5:30 PM with occasional weekend work

POSITION SUMMARY: The Habitat Specialist will act as the field crew lead and assist with the planning, coordinating, and implementation of field and administrative tasks associated with restoration projects independently, collaboratively, and under supervision of the Habitat Program Manager. This position is primarily field based with some office work and will require 30-40 hours per week at various project locations. See job announcement.

HABITAT RESTORATION TECHNICIAN

PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT: February 11- November 30, 2019 (possibility of extension)

COMPENSATION: $16.00/hour + paid time off, paid holidays, professional development stipend, and medical benefit cost share options

LOCATION: Office located in Lake Stevens with daily work throughout King and Snohomish counties

HOURS: Monday-Thursday, 7 AM – 5:30 PM with occasional weekend work

POSITION SUMMARY: Implement field-based riparian restoration efforts independently, as a team, and under the supervision of the Habitat Program Manager, Habitat Specialist, and any project partners to improve water quality and habitat quality and quantity. Restoration efforts typically include: controlling invasive species, installing native plants, maintaining project sites, vegetation monitoring, and assisting at volunteer events.
