Tenure track position as Associate Senior Lecturer in Rural Development in Sweden and Europe with a focus on environmental and agricultural politics at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Uppsala.

The subject covers rural development in Sweden and Europe with a focus on the socio-political aspects that lead to sustainable development in the context of changing rural places. Interdisciplinary approaches to changes taking place in environmental and agricultural governance and politics across local, national and global levels are important. Analysis of how gender, class, ethnicity and other dimensions of power influence rural change is central.

The Associate Senior Lecturer shall develop his/her own research profile within the subject. This should include theoretical approaches and extensive fieldwork with attention to interdisciplinary perspectives.

Priority will be given to candidates who have received a PhD or equivalent qualifications no longer than five years before the application deadline.
