Need a boost in staffing to help develop or refine your volunteer program?
Consider joining the 2019 cohort of United Way’s Volunteer Impact Partnership (VIP) Manager Corps program. VIP Manager Corps (VMC) delivered in partnership with 501 Commons, is designed to enhance the ways in which your organization is able to recruit, engage, and retain valuable volunteers. VIP Manager Corps matches social service agencies with a skilled volunteer, one-on-one, to help develop and refine the nuts and bolts of your volunteer program. Selected organizations will:
- Have access to tools, resources, and training provided by United Way of King County and 501 Commons
- Learn about volunteer management within a cohort of peers
- Commit to working with a volunteer on a weekly basis March through June
- Complete 3-5 other projects that add capacity to your volunteer program, such as documenting volunteer job descriptions, designing skills-based volunteer opportunities, streamlining volunteer orientation and training, and increasing volunteer retention
- Develop a group volunteer project, upgrade your recruitment on United Way’s volunteer-connecting website, and refine your volunteer tracking
- Benefit from approximately 140 hours of service, an in-kind value of $10,500, free of charge to select organizations
Space is limited, so learn more about the program here, and in the attached documents. Please contact isaac@501commons.org to schedule a screening interview by January 18th. Formal applications must be received by January 31st, 2019 in order to be considered.
