Teachers who attend will:
- Learn up to date information on local water pollution, wildlife and habitat issues facing us from local scientists, researchers and engineers.
- Utilize Project Based Learning Model to integrate disparate activities, learning objectives and topics into one cohesive learning experience.
- Connect to local areas and schoolyard activities to engage students in engineering design projects that are locally relevant.
- Plan customized units to connect workshop lessons with what you will teach right away.
- Get trained on wildlife, ecosystem and erosion classroom and field-based activities.

This workshop is free for all educators. Content is targeted for 4th and 5th grade. Preference is given to those educators who are in the Arlington, Darrington or Stanwood School Districts, although others are welcome. Workshop attendance includes hard and electronic copies of the curriculum and meals! 8.5 Washington State Approved clock hours are available.
