Living Classrooms Foundation is accepting applications for an Educational Coordinator aboard the historic Chesapeake Bay buyboat, the MILDRED BELLE (c. 1948). Operating out of Washington, D.C., the MILDRED BELLE serves over 3,000 students and adults annually through educational programs. Shipboard programs focus on STEM and environmental concepts and range in length from day-long to extended overnight trips. The Educational Coordinator is responsible for implementing and overseeing all shipboard programs and may assist with occasional land-based programming. The boat also provides private charters and public sails.

Successful applicants will have a background in marine or environmental science or education and experience teaching students of all ages. Ideal candidates will also have previous experience working on boats, or a willingness to be trained. This is a seasonal, full-time position running from March through mid-November.
