The Opportunity:
The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Olympic Region Transportation Planning Office is looking for a Senior Transportation Planner who will support the Agency’s Multimodal Planning goals as the Pre-Design Supervisor.
This position is responsible for leading the region’s outreach and community engagement to develop strategies and solutions that support the region’s scoping program and first phase in the Agency’s project development process. In this role, you will work in a collaborative environment with local communities, WSDOT region disciplines and various Multimodal, Multidisciplinary, Multi-Agency (M3) stakeholders to identify practical solutions for a range of transportation system issues. Successful projects will comply with existing and planned land uses. You will develop strategies to meet performance goals and system needs. M3 stakeholders include cities, counties, transit agencies, tribes and MPO/RTPO’s.
