We wanted to share a wonderful scholarship opportunity from one of our community partners!
If you are a college student or know someone who is, consider applying or sharing the Looking Up Stream scholarship from Conservation Northwest which focuses on watershed wide health. Below is a short description of the scholarship opportunity:
“We’re asking college students in communities of the Green-Duwamish and Puyallup-White River watersheds to use their unique voice to answer the following question: Why does the health and management of the upland forests and whole watershed function, from the snow-capped mountains to the Puget Sound, matter to you and your community? We seek creative and thoughtful entries in brief written, verbal, or visual essay formats to enrich our understanding of the values individuals and communities hold in these watersheds. Written entries should be no more than 600 words, while visual and verbal entries should be no longer than two minutes. All entries should be concise, clear, creative, and make a personal connection to your values and vision.”
Deadline to enter is May 27th, the winner will receive $3,000 with $500 going to runners up.
