Visitor Services Internship

Introduction:

If helping others and spending time in beautiful places sounds enticing, join our team at Mount

Rainier as a Visitor Services intern for the summer! You will work alongside Park staff who help

support each other and meet visitor needs to make Mount Rainier a friendly, safe, and

welcoming place for a diverse population of visitors. You will have an exciting summer both

providing services directly to visitors, as well as assisting with resource restoration projects.

Major Duties:

Your main role will be to provide orientation and resource protection information to visitors

(60%). You will also be a valuable member of search and rescue teams and participate in

evacuation, incident and emergency medical trainings to hone your skills (10%). You will

provide assistance on trail maintenance projects and other resource restoration projects (20%)

and have time for career development and job shadowing to explore park careers (10%).
