The Pacific Regional Center in Seattle is looking for an AmeriCorps Member to assist Ranger Rick (our mascot and 50 year old kids’ publication) and the regional education staff with promoting environmental stewardship and engaging communities, volunteers, and partners in opportunities that help develop community stewards, supports sustainable habitat projects, and restores/protects wildlife habitat.  The Education programs supported by this work includes the Community Wildlife Habitat program, Habitat Stewards Trainings program, Schoolyard Habitats, Be Out There, and community outreach.  Our office is an easy going, flexible work environment.  This Habitat Programs Coordinator position is best suited for someone who is enthusiastic (no need to be an expert) about the Washington environment, habitat restoration, and volunteer stewardship – and can use that energy to connect people with our programs and resources with an outgoing personality.

Position is from September 2nd, 2019 – July 15th, 2020. Full healthcare paid for, and $6,000 education award upon successful completion of term to be used for past, current, or future education costs (including, but not limited loans).
