The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Environmental Services Office (ESO) is seeking an experienced biologist to join our multi-agency liaison team in Lacey, WA. As the WSDOT Liaison to the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) and the US Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) you will provide Endangered Species Act (ESA) consultation services and technical expertise to WSDOT projects and programs.
The ESO provides statewide direction and leadership on key environmental issues and strategies affecting the state’s transportation system. ESO’s Liaison Program provides critical support to WSDOT’s regions and modes through place-based staff at Federal and State resource agencies who are dedicated to efficient delivery of quality transportation programs and environmental stewardship. The program facilitates predictable state and federal environmental reviews in support of WSDOT project delivery.
