This internship is 20-24 hours a week for a period of 10 weeks. 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Equity & Inclusion intern will work closely with the Senior Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion to support TWS’s 2019 equity programming and strategic planning. Over the course of the summer, the E&I intern will receive training and coaching around issues of equity and social justice and will have the opportunity to co-facilitate workshops for staff and other stakeholders.

This position plays an important role in supporting an inclusive organizational culture that is grounded in trust and accountability to shared goals and outcomes. TWS has made diversity, equity, and inclusion strategic priorities for the organization and the [job title] will integrate these priorities throughout our work. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the preparation of the 2020 TWS DEI Annual Report
• Research equity and inclusion matters within the conservation community
• Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to advance our collective equity work
• Co-present inclusion-building workshops and presentations
• Provide additional administrative and logistical support to the Senior Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience, Competencies, and Education
• Open to rising juniors, rising seniors, graduating seniors, and graduate students
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience facilitating conversations around matters of equity and inclusion

Desired Characteristics
• Scholars who are open to new experiences and can easily adapt.
• Graphic design experience preferred
