Each spring, GRuB’s Victory Garden Project (VGP) partners with individuals, families, and organizations to build backyard vegetable gardens. We work throughout Thurston County to provide access to the knowledge and resources needed to grow fresh, healthy, and culturally appropriate foods.
The Victory Gardener Support Team (VGST) is a group of volunteers who make monthly phone calls and/or in-person garden visits* to VGP Gardeners to offer support, answer questions and help gardeners find the information they need to have a successful growing season. As a VGST intern, your job will be to manage and help organize the team of volunteers while ensuring that all gardeners receive support when needed. You will work closely with The VGST coordinator Jill Cross to ensure that all gardeners receive support throughout the season.

Job Description
Recruit and assist in managing the Victory Garden Support Team Volunteers with VGST Volunteer coordinator, Jill Cross. Entering VGST volunteer data into our database (NEON) and helping keep track of gardener information. As the VGST intern you will help keep all gardeners updated and aware of the many workshops that are happening for them at the Victory Farm in Lacey. You will also be able to participate in builds, and are able to host or attend workshops for gardeners.
