The Engagement & Impact Intern will have the opportunity to learn about creating social change with storytelling, and reaching/activating audiences for films and television, virtual reality and short-form digital content. Topics include climate change, ocean, and wildlife conservation. Throughout the summer, you will work alongside our team to support strategy development and outreach for our projects in distribution.

Projects and Responsibilities

  • Contributing research to issue-area landscape reports, identify needs and opportunities for impact campaigns
  • Identifying contacts and organizations for outreach efforts, including event promotion and partnership development
  • Creating marketing assets, including discussion guides and take action landing pages
  • Track and gather project metrics for evaluation reports, e.g. web analytics, social media analytics, viewership, downloads, etc.
  • Overseeing event programming and planning logistics

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Undergrad or graduate student currently pursuing a degree from an accredited institution
  • A strong interest in and knowledge of leading social justice and environmental issues that support Vulcan’s mission
  • Previous experience with grassroots organizing and/or surveying and impact measurement preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must possess excellent research, copywriting and communication skills
  • Strong project management skills; capable of handling several projects simultaneously with the ability to drive results
