SUMMARY:

We are hiring a part-time Environmmental Communications Speclalist to help us engage and build our audience of environmental employers and jobseekers.

RESPONSBILITIES:

• Engage and build our audience on social media and beyond.
• Administer social media groups and pages.
• Respond to employer questions and requests
• Support daily operation of site including job posting review and categorization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

• A decent understanding of conservation professional fields (i.e. the types of positions and employers that exist in nature conservation, wildlife management, forestry, environmental education, etc)
• A BA/BS or 1 year of experience in an environmental-related field (ideally both).
• Very strong communication skills
  • Strong writing ability
  • Strong oral communication ability
  • Solid understanding of social media communications and outreach

Ideal

• Some background in communications
  • Coursework and/or experience in communications, outreach, or marketing
• Currently enrolled as a grad student. Or in a life-situation in which a part-time position works very well with your schedule.

Work Schedule

-A minimum of 15 hours per week. A potential for up to 20 depending on your skill level and availability.
