We are seeking a Temporary Hydrology Technician to join our remote sensing team to assist us in developing Stream Network delineation for NLAR Region. This position is a temporary contract role for a duration of approximately 9 months.

 

Key Roles and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

 

Analyzing data from remote sensing technologies.

Generate Stream Networks.

Building and running scripts for remote sensing data QA/QC and processing.

Maintaining cloud-based data archive to ensure high quality and security.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to commit to a 9-month contract
  • Good understanding of hydrology concepts
  • Excellent Programming skills
  • Great attention to detail and can work independently
  • Knowledge of statistics and spatial analysis.
  • Proficient in ESRI products, Python, R, MS Office suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team environment.
  • Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills.
  • High level of initiative and motivation.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
