Responsibilities

As a Biologist, you will perform the following duties:

• Participate in at-sea field work, utilize remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) for at sea collections and manage sample and specimen collections of deep sea corals and sponges.
• Collect and analyze molecular genetic data for species identification for samples collected by the Deep Sea Coral Research and Technology Program (DSCRTP); Upload species identification and metadata to the DSCRTP national database.
• Perform visualization, analysis, and interpretation of processed molecular population genetic data, including statistical analyses.
• Write reports, theses, or manuscripts on phylogenetics and population genetics of deep sea corals or sponges
