The Small Forest Landowner Office is seeking a forester to join a team which provides assistance to small forest landowners. You will be part of a team of field foresters who will use forestry skills to help eligible landowners through the Forestry Riparian Easement application process. To do this, you will be gathering vital information about landowner applications using forestry tools such as GPS and laser rangefinder. You will be responsible for:
• Meeting with the landowner on their property to review their application.
• Determining application eligibility.
• Determining the transaction value of the conservation easement.
• Authorizing applicant’s requests for reimbursement of eligible expenses.
• Negotiating Forestry Riparian Easement contract language with applicants.
