The Outreach, Recruitment & Development Support position reports to the Training, Recruiting, and DEI Manager, offering key support to both the recruiting and development teams. In this position, you will be able to develop, coordinate, implement, and facilitate aspects of outreach, recruitment, and employment activities specifically targeted on attracting diverse candidate pools. The position will develop strategies to recruit underrepresented candidates, and represent the agency in collaborative relationships with public and private organizations. This position will assist in training record keeping, course development and facilitation, recruitment and retention processes and initiatives, DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives, and other projects in support of DNR’s HR program.

Who are we looking for?

The right candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business, or related field from an accredited institution.  Experience will substitute for education year for year.
  • Experience working collaboratively with employees, managers, and supervisors.
  • Experience with recruitment outreach programs using diversity, equity, and inclusion concepts and knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver and provide training.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft products.
  • The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • A working knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related statutes, rules, Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) terms, policies, procedures, agency practices, and general theory in recruitment and selection.
  • Ability to review and use data to provide recommendations.
  • The ability to manage time, identify priorities, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work as a team member.
  • The incumbent in this position is required to travel.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience utilizing an online recruitment system (NEOGov, OLRS, etc.)
  • Experience utilizing LMS Learning Management System or the new The Learning Center (TLC).
  • One year of professional human resource experience.
  • Experience utilizing eLearning software preferably Articulate 360 software package.
