Maul Foster & Alongi (MFA) is seeking a full-time Senior Environmental Engineer for our Seattle, Washington office. Alongside our talented team in the Seattle office, you will help lead growth and bolster our core services in the Puget Sound. As a Senior Engineer at MFA, you will

Develop and maintain relationships with clients, anticipating and responding to their needs, both in your wheelhouse and introducing them to the breadth of services MFA offers.

Serve as a project manager to both existing clients and clients you cultivate, all the while mentoring capable staff to manage tasks and grow as a project manager.

Offer excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in service of our clients’ needs.

Lead and collaborate with teammates, respecting individuals’ skills and perspectives.

Take on problems, utilizing your technical knowledge and experience, to implement solutions and look for opportunities for our clients.

 

What are we looking for?

10+ years relevant work experience and a relevant bachelor’s degree, plus appropriate continuing education

Knowledge of the Puget Sound market to support and lead marketing efforts

Extensive knowledge and application of environmental engineering principles applied to cleanup of contaminated sites (soil and/or sediment). Experience with industrial stormwater or wastewater management is a plus.

Excellent writing and communication skills used to effectively interact with clients and undertake marketing and business development tasks and initiatives

Demonstrated ability to lead project teams of technical professionals to address complex environmental challenges for clients

Interest and desire in identifying, developing and securing new clients

Ability to work comfortably as a project manager, mentor and leader within a team environment.

Passion for promoting MFA within the Pacific Northwest environmental industry

Aptitude to identify and meet client needs with a focus on project budget; regulatory success and technical performance

Valid driver’s license/acceptable driving record

Word processing and spreadsheet software proficiency

Professional registration in Washington

40 Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Training (per 29 CFR 1910.120) with current 8-hour refresher
