Mid Sound is looking for someone to be a full time temporary summer restoration crew lead to work with our Summer Youth program in Auburn.  We have 8 South King County immigrant and refugee youth (most are ages 17 and 18) that we are training in green jobs while they help us remove invasives, care for recently planted native trees and shrubs, and prep fall planting sites in Auburn Parks on the Green River.   We have one crew lead already hired and are looking for a second person to work with her to help support the youth.    See the job posting on our website here: https://www.midsoundfisheries.org/job-opening-crew-lead/

Understanding of restoration techniques and experience in working with communities of color is a plus.  See the posting for more details.  We need to hire a second person ASAP so applications should be sent in as soon as possible. Job is open until filled.  The job will be through early October.

This is a partnership project funded by the Port of Seattle, King County Flood Control District, and the King County Wastewater Treatment Division.  We are partnered with Auburn Parks, Partners in Employment, Sound Salmon Solutions and Forterra for coordination and implementation of the program.
