This Friday, February 22 from noon to 1 in Lib 2708, Evergreen will host a Brown Bag Lunch with Evan Escamilla, the regional recruiter for the Student Conservation Association (SCA). SCA has been placing people in outdoor opportunities for outdoor educators and field researchers of all types for over 50 years, all over the U.S. and including Alaska. Credit is available but not a requirement (you don’t even have to be a current student!). Training, housing, stipends and travel funds are provided. Many of the current federal employees with US Fish and Wildlife Service, the US Forest Service and the National Park Service began their careers as SCA interns. This Friday at noon in Lib 2708, find out how you can take your next steps toward your career, or at least have an incredible summer experience.
Contact Evergreen faculty Jeff Antonelis-Lapp if you have questions.
