Introduction to Animal Tracking

Nature Walk and Bird Watching in Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge
When: April 30th
Time: 9:00am-3:00pm
Location: Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge
Instructors: Kimi Wascher, Jacob Schroeter, Rob Healy
Fee: $8.00/person
Items to bring: Sack lunch; Where appropriate attire (including walking shoes); Suggested: Camera, Binoculars, Journaling materials; Field guides
*Students will meet at the C-Lot information kiosk and depart in vans at 9AM, arriving in the Nisqally NWR around 9:30. From there, students will proceed on foot along the interpretive trail, bird watching and learning about the plants, wildlife and ecology of the area. The trail is even and the pace will be slow, so this is suitable for everyone. Sack lunches will be eaten at the NWR and the walkabout will arrive back at the vans by proximately 2PM to drive back to campus, returning to C-Lot no later than 3PM.
