The Seattle reLeaf Program engages Seattle residents in planting and maintaining trees on private property. The work of the Seattle reLeaf Program is guided by the City of Seattle’s Urban Forest Stewardship Plan, adopted in 2013. Seattle reLeaf works closely with a number of City departments, including Seattle Public Utilities (SPU), Department of Transportation (SDOT), Office of Sustainability and Environment (OSE), Seattle City Light (SCL), and Parks and Recreation. This position will report to the Seattle reLeaf Program Manager.
The position is part of the Resource Conservation (RC) Section in SPU’s Customer Programs Division. The Section provides a wide range of conservation services to Seattle residents, businesses and community groups across SPU’s Solid Waste, Drinking Water, and Drainage and Wastewater utility lines of business. The RC Section includes the Seattle reLeaf program. Seattle reLeaf is an interdepartmental urban forestry outreach and engagement program housed in SPU.
